Project Management
Overview: Project management professionals must be flexible by nature in order to carry out a multitude of tasks consistently and efficiently. Clear communication skills and managerial aptitude are important qualities also, because solid directions and procedures must be explained clearly at all times.
Role: Within the project management field, there are five Process Groups: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling. Aside from that, there are nine separate Knowledge Areas to work in: project integration, project scope, project time, project cost, project quality, project human resources, project communications, project risk, and project procurement management. Needless to say, with so many areas to fill within project management, communication and solid understanding of a project's intended outcome are essential in this field.
